Etihad Airways Carries 16.1 Million Passengers in Nine Months

Etihad Airways transported 16.1 million passengers during the first nine months of the year, from the beginning of 2025 until the end of September, marking an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

According to a press release issued by the company regarding its preliminary passenger traffic results for September, Etihad welcomed 1.9 million passengers in September 2025, an increase of 21% compared to the same month last year. The average passenger load factor reached 89% during the month—one percentage point higher than in September 2024—indicating efficient utilization of the additional capacity.

Etihad’s fleet reached 115 aircraft by the end of September, operating flights to 82 destinations worldwide.

Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said:

“September was another strong month for Etihad Airways, with sustained demand as we move into the post-summer period. The year-on-year growth across all key indicators reflects the strength of our network and Abu Dhabi’s growing position as a global destination.”
