The man behind the iconic “Chelsea Blow Dry” style of Prince William’s wife revealed his technique  in a video tutorial for People magazine . “It’s not just about Kate’s hair. It’s a hairstyle with a perfect finish, no frizz, and real shine,” the expert summarized. And to achieve this result, the secret lies in following the steps. “It’s very important to apply the products correctly—not all at once, but in small sections. […] That’s where you need to lift the roots and set the curls a little. That’s the foundation of a beautiful blow-dry.”

Another key feature of Kate Middleton’s hairstyle remains her hair color, to which she remains faithful but subtly alters it. Richard Ward, in an interview with the Daily Mail, explained that it’s essential to be very precise when requesting it from the colorist. “Ask your hairdresser for three different shades of highlights: one lighter than your natural base color, one roughly the same, and one slightly darker to create a multi-tonal effect within a harmonious blend.”

Another detail that can make all the difference? The use of the hairdryer. “The mistake many of you make is moving the hairdryer around too much during the process, which leads to frizz.” The hairdresser also emphasizes the importance of using a nozzle.

And for Richard Ward, there’s no question of using a curling iron or styler; the hairdresser prefers to rely on rollers, which are tightly wrapped before loosening the curl with a finger.
