Saudi Coffee Company Launches Saudi Sip of Excellence Competition

Saudi Coffee Company, a Public Investment Fund subsidiary, has launched the third edition of the Saudi Sip of Excellence (Gems of Saudi) in cooperation with the Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE), a competition that aims to empower Saudi farmers, improve the quality of Saudi coffee crops, and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a leading global producer of specialty coffee.
This year’s edition builds on the success of the previous two, which have become a national platform celebrating top coffee farmers in Jazan, Al-Baha, and Aseer. It represents a significant step toward achieving the company’s vision of developing the Saudi coffee ecosystem from farm to cup.
The competition seeks to enhance quality and agricultural production standards by offering training and technical evaluation of local crops, while empowering Saudi farmers through oversight of judging and tasting processes conducted by global experts from ACE.
It also aims to support economic development in coffee-growing communities, strengthen their competitiveness locally and internationally, and highlight the cultural identity of Saudi coffee as an integral part of national heritage and a cornerstone of Arab hospitality.
